Minutes of a meeting of Moston Parish Council
held on Monday 14th May 2007 at Warmingham Parish Hall

1. ROOKERY BRIDGE
Representatives from the proposed development at Rookery Bridge attended and gave a short presentation and answered questions from Councillors.

The presentation was well received by all Councillors and thanks were expressed.

2. TRAFFIC IN MOSTON
Mr James Wood representing Cheshire County Highways Department attended to talk and answer questions regarding traffic in the Moston area.

  • Where are the problems in the area.
  • Mill Lane in a bad state - half way down is a gas meter which needs attention.
  • Council have put kerbs which are causing a problem.
  • Could the weight restriction be closer to Fox Inn/Moss Lane, although this could be a problem.
  • Signs to be revamped.
  • Could there be 30/40 mph signs just past the Cricket Club near to Mill Lane.

AGREED: That Mr Wood would report back as soon as possible.

3. MINUTES OF LAST MEETING.
The minutes of the last meeting, which had been circulated, were agreed and signed as a correct record.

4. MATTERS ARISING.
It was agreed that the summer bbq be put on the agenda for the next meeting.

5. ACCOUNTS.
The following accounts were agreed:

Allianz Cornhill - £521.58
Addition to Lyreco invoice agreed previously - £9.05

6. PLANNING.
There were no planning applications.

5. ANY OTHER BUSINESS.

The following was AGREED:

  • A letter to be sent to the Borough Council expressing concern about a deposit of hardcore, land at Horseshoe Farm, Warmingham Lane.
  • That the Clerk be asked to find out why the Parish Council have not been notified even though our Borough Councillor had been informed and agreed to go and see the site.
  • That the Council should ask Hurstwoods to attend a future meeting regarding the Rookery Bridge site.

The next meeting will be held on Monday 2nd July 2007 at 7.45 pm.

There being no further business the meeting was closed.
